Variety is the name of the game at Tub's, where the menu features seven distinctly different chilis to choose from.
They serve up mouth-watering takes on more traditional meats such as steak, ground beef and turkey, along with inventive varieties such as pulled pork, chicken and garlic buds.
The Miner's Choice rounds out the mix, featuring a new recipe every month submitted by patrons and perfected by Tub's proprietor Rick Hodges.

A Texas cowboy at heart, Rick turned his longtime chili hobby into his life's work. Rick spent a solid year perfecting the dough and delivery of his freshly toasted bread tubs. Part flatbread and part pizza dough, these delicious serving dishes hold up to hot chili perfectly.
Another of Rick's concoctions, Tub's Nitro Tonic, is an ideal way to kick up the heat without messing with the flavor of his fine chili.

Rick isn't shy about his chili either. He's been known to take a stack of menus in hand, flag down passing ars and turn them into potential customers. His charisma and craftmanship are matched only by his wife Margie's charm. The couple of more than 30 years can often be found behind the counter, welcoming the hearliest of appetites with warm smile and piping hot "tub" of chili.
